ServiceNow is seeking a senior executive to join the organization as the Chief of Staff, Head of Marketing Strategy & Operations. ServiceNow operates an AI platform that connects data, workflows, and artificial intelligence to help businesses automate tasks and operate more efficiently. In this senior role, the professional will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and day-to-day execution, overseeing the Office of the CMO and leading the business operations of the marketing department.
This position requires an experienced operator who can manage complex systems, budgets, and performance metrics while serving as a trusted advisor to the Chief Marketing Officer and the marketing leadership team. Core responsibilities include directing operational rhythms, guiding organizational transformation, managing mergers and acquisitions integrations for marketing, and overseeing the Marketing AI Center of Excellence. The individual will also collaborate across finance, sales, IT, product, and human resources to streamline workflows and ensure alignment.
Candidates must live close to the Santa Clara office in California, as this position requires working from the office a minimum of two days per week. ServiceNow provides a competitive compensation package including a base salary range between $263,900 and $448,600 per year, along with variable or incentive compensation, equity when applicable, and comprehensive health and retirement benefits.
Responsibilities
- Manage the operational model, performance systems, and planning cadence that tie marketing strategy to measurable execution
- Direct the Office of the CMO to maintain alignment and focus across the marketing leadership team
- Translate company objectives into specific marketing budgets, priorities, and revenue-focused metrics
- Design and implement processes, frameworks, and governance to enhance departmental agility and accountability
- Direct the Marketing AI Center of Excellence to scale artificial intelligence adoption and innovation across content and strategy
- Collaborate with finance, sales, and IT teams to establish and measure enterprise buying group engagement
- Manage major initiatives and priority programs from start to finish
- Execute seamless mergers and acquisitions integrations for marketing across customer touchpoints and teams
- Coordinate brand, product, growth, and field divisions so investments align with impact
- Represent the marketing department in enterprise forums such as AI Value Steering and Workforce Planning
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience leading strategy, operations, or transformation within global and matrixed corporate environments
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, planning, marketing ROI, and performance management
- Proven background in driving organizational transformation, modernizing processes, and increasing accountability
- Experience managing senior teams across planning, operations, and emerging fields such as artificial intelligence
- Reside in close proximity to the Santa Clara office in California and fulfill the requirement to work from the office at least two days a week
