Pavago is hiring a Collections Specialist on behalf of a client for a full-time, remote position operating during U.S. business hours. This performance-driven role focuses on protecting cash flow and recovering outstanding payments through high-volume outbound calling. The professional chosen for this position will manage past-due accounts from initial contact to resolution, balancing persistence with professional customer service.
Daily duties involve placing over one hundred outbound calls to customers with overdue balances, navigating gatekeepers, and overcoming payment objections to secure payment commitments or clear resolution timelines. The specialist will also investigate billing disputes, coordinate with internal teams to clear account blockers, and maintain precise documentation in Salesforce or a similar CRM. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, strict activity discipline, and comfort working independently in a target-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Place over 100 outbound collections calls daily to customers carrying past-due balances
- Follow up consistently via phone and email to secure payments, commitments, and resolution timelines
- Navigate gatekeepers to reach appropriate decision-makers and handle payment objections professionally
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, invoice disputes, and payment delays
- Coordinate with internal teams to clear blockers and maintain active management of disputed accounts
- Log all outreach, responses, payment promises, and case updates accurately in a CRM system
- Track collections progress, monitor payment commitments, and report on recovery outcomes
Requirements
- Previous experience working in collections, accounts receivable, or high-volume outbound calling
- Ability and comfort in making 100+ outbound phone calls every day
- Proficiency in collections, negotiation, and objection-handling techniques
- Familiarity with Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- High attention to detail regarding documentation accuracy and account tracking
- Ability to manage a large portfolio of accounts simultaneously while remaining professional during difficult conversations
- Availability to work during U.S. business hours in a remote setting
