The company is currently hiring a Content Designer II to join the Personalization team on a full-time basis. This role focuses on shaping personalized product experiences, such as the Homefeed, helping users navigate content tailored to their behaviors and preferences while maintaining moments of serendipity.
The position suits an early-to-mid career content designer who utilizes language, information hierarchy, and content strategy to transform complex systems into clear user interfaces. Professionals in this role collaborate across disciplines and explore emerging artificial intelligence tools throughout the content design lifecycle. Candidates must be willing to travel to an office for in-person collaboration once or twice every six months, but the position is otherwise situated nationally in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, Research, and Data Science teams to shape personalized discovery surfaces like Homefeed
- Apply information design, content design, and user-centered methodologies to refine product experiences
- Use data, user insights, and research to inform content choices and enhance the Pinterest platform
- Develop scalable content standards, patterns, and frameworks for transparent and trustworthy personalized features
- Employ language to clarify why users see specific content and how they can guide their experience
- Incorporate emerging artificial intelligence tools and prompting techniques across discovery, concepting, and iteration phases
- Contribute to the content design practice by sharing insights and improving team best practices
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in user-focused product content design
- Experience designing personalized, complex, or data-informed experiences
- Ability to look beyond individual text strings to shape overall feature content strategies
- Portfolio demonstrating product problem-solving through content strategy, language, and cross-functional collaboration
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Curiosity and willingness to explore and apply emerging artificial intelligence capabilities to design workflows
