Pinterest operates a visual discovery platform used globally by millions of individuals to gather creative concepts, plan future projects, and discover inspiration. The organization is currently seeking a Sr Software Engineer, EPD Ads to join its Monetization Engineering group in San Francisco.
In this position, the professional will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver new technologies and experiences. This role suits individuals who enjoy tackling complex engineering tasks, building robust features, and driving initiatives from initial conception through technical design, implementation, and final release.
As part of the engineering team, the employee will design full-stack user-facing features, execute A/B tests, and construct scalable solutions capable of supporting a massive user base. Responsibilities
- Develop full-stack features oriented toward users to support future inspiration platforms
- Lead and contribute to every stage of product development from ideation to release
- Run prototypes and A/B tests while architecting scalable solutions for millions of users
- Partner closely with design, product, and backend groups to deliver end-to-end functionality
- Propose novel product concepts and features from a user perspective
- Apply automated testing methods to ensure technical quality and maintain component ownership
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of professional industry experience in full-stack or backend development building consumer or business products
- Proficiency in common front-end and back-end technology stacks including Javascript, React, APIs, storage, caching, and data processing
- Ability to write reliable, maintainable code following best practices
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Availability to work in the office for in-person collaboration one to two times per month based in the Bay Area, Seattle, or New York City
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field, or equivalent experience
