Job Description
The Data Analyst II belongs to Motive's Post Sales group and collaborates with Customer Support and Product teams to deliver reporting and analytics. The role builds dashboards and reports that keep leaders informed about key business metrics, and turns business questions into clear data requirements and findings. The analyst is expected to make dashboards easy to use and to explain what the numbers mean.
Day to day, the analyst designs and maintains interactive dashboards in HEX, Retool and Salesforce reporting tools, writes advanced SQL across several systems, and runs deep-dive analyses to surface trends, opportunities and process gaps. The analyst also builds automated reports for cross-functional projects and keeps data consistent across platforms.
Working across teams is central. The analyst works with department heads across support, product and services functions, plus data engineering and BI colleagues on sources, definitions and governance. The posting expects findings delivered in plain terms for technical as well as non-technical listeners.
The position is full-time and on-site in Pakistan, and no salary range is stated. Candidates should bring at least five years of analytics and BI work, fluency in SQL, and working knowledge of KPIs for pre-sales and post-sales operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain dashboards and reports in HEX, Retool and Salesforce reporting
- Write advanced SQL to pull and reshape large datasets from several systems
- Translate what Support, Product and Services need into concrete data specifications
- Keep data consistent and accurate across reporting platforms
- Produce deep-dive analyses that identify trends, opportunities and process gaps
- Build scalable, automated reporting for cross-functional projects
- Align data sources, definitions and governance with data engineering and BI colleagues
Requirements
- Five or more years of analytics and BI experience
- Strong SQL for querying and transforming data
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce reports and dashboards
- Experience using Python or R to manipulate data and automate tasks
- Solid understanding of KPIs for pre-sales and post-sales functions
- Sharp analytical thinking and problem-solving with a precise eye for accuracy
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Qualifications
- Experience building dashboards and telling stories with data in HEX or Retool
- Earlier roles backing up support, services or sales engineering departments
