Bosch is hiring a mid-level Data Consultant focused on Logistics to design, build, and maintain stable data models and information exchange processes for manufacturing and plant logistics. In this position, the professional will collaborate directly with functional groups and business teams to convert supply chain workflows into logical, physical, and dimensional models, alongside building Oracle PL/SQL mechanisms and integration pipelines.
This role suits a technical specialist with five to six years of experience who understands manufacturing operations, supply chain environments, and plant logistics. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of database programming, performance optimization, and data movement utilities within Oracle ecosystems, and will be capable of communicating technical data structures effectively to cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain logical data models, dimensional schemas, and data vault structures using Oracle Data Modeler or similar tools
- Participate in the end-to-end implementation and rollout lifecycles for business-critical operational applications
- Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers aligned with operational logic
- Build data interface mechanisms, delta-capture routines, ETL workflows, and automated SFTP or FTP file exchange processes
- Optimize queries, apply indexing strategies, and tune execution plans to guarantee data accuracy and high performance
- Execute initial loads, migrations, and regular data feeds using SQL*Loader, Data Pump, and import or export tools
- Collaborate with logistics teams and business analysts to collect requirements, set up data dictionaries, and confirm business rules
Requirements
- Possess five to six years of hands-on experience in database development, data engineering, and data modeling
- Participate in at least one to two implementation projects
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of dimensional, logical, and physical data modeling paradigms
- Show practical proficiency using Oracle Data Modeler or equivalent modeling applications
- Display advanced hands-on proficiency in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL development
- Apply proven debugging techniques, schema design principles, and query performance tuning methodologies
- Utilize database utilities including SQL*Loader and Data Pump
- Communicate technical data designs clearly to business and functional teams through strong oral and written skills
Qualifications
- Earn a B.E., B.Tech, MCA, or M.Sc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Bring prior exposure or working knowledge of manufacturing logistics, plant supply chain, inventory movement, or warehousing interfaces
- Gain familiarity with Data Vault architecture
- Acquire preferred technical skills in Databricks, Oracle APEX, or PowerBI
