Job Description
Bosch is seeking an automation tester with five to eight years of experience to handle mobile and web application testing. This position centers on creating, building, and supporting automated test scripts for iOS and Android apps using the Robot Framework alongside Appium, UI Automator, and XCUI Test. The role also includes web application testing through the Robot Framework and Selenium, plus working familiarity with Playwright.
The person in this role will test software that connects with hardware systems, firmware, and embedded devices. Responsibilities cover mobile element locators, setting up test environments via Xcode and Android Studio, and building automation pipelines with CI/CD integration. Candidates need strong communication abilities and familiarity with Linux and macOS command lines.
This position requires an educational background in Computer Science or a comparable field. Familiarity with AWS Serverless infrastructure and professional testing certifications are considered beneficial assets.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support automated test scripts for iOS and Android mobile platforms using Robot Framework with Appium, XCUI Test, and UI Automator
- Automate web applications utilizing Robot Framework and Selenium
- Test applications that communicate with embedded devices, firmware, or hardware systems
- Establish and manage test environments via Xcode and Android Studio IDEs
- Create and execute test specifications, plans, and strategies using Jira and Xray
- Connect automation test suites into CI/CD pipelines
- Perform UI and API test automation with Robot Framework
- Examine test outcomes, deliver accurate reports, and sustain proper test coverage
- Manage automation frameworks, test data, and test environments
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of professional experience
- Strong hands-on practice with Robot Framework using Selenium and Appium
- Practical experience setting up and overseeing test environments via Android Studio and Xcode IDEs
- Proficiency in macOS and Linux command-line operations
- Strong understanding of mobile element locators including ID, XPath, Accessibility ID, and ClassName
- Direct experience utilizing real devices, emulators, simulators, Xcode, and Android Studio
- Working familiarity with Appium drivers, Desired Capabilities, and Appium Inspector
- Strong communication abilities
Qualifications
- B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science or a similar field
- Knowledge of AWS Serverless architecture covering AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, and S3
- ISTQB certification or comparable testing credentials
- Experience with Playwright test automation
