Bosch is seeking a Deputy Manager for Application Engineering for its Power Tools division in Bengaluru. This full-time, on-site role involves delivering technical support, running product demonstrations, and designing value-added services specifically for construction sector customers. The person selected will connect directly with key users, evaluate site requirements, and assist sales teams in converting technical opportunities into completed business transactions.
Key responsibilities include tracking active and upcoming construction projects, analyzing customer workflows to suggest ideal tool configurations, and helping displace competing offerings. The position requires introducing new product lines to users, conducting product training for internal sales teams, handling installations, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. Candidates will also document market trends, gather feedback on product gaps, and coordinate across internal departments to resolve client complaints.
Responsibilities
- Build direct relationships with stakeholders at construction key accounts
- Study user pain points and recommend optimal power tool solutions
- Support sales teams during pre-sale presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions
- Assist with post-sale activities including installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Monitor ongoing and upcoming construction projects and maintain stakeholder maps
- Propose value-added services and solutions to increase the employer share of wallet and outpace competitors
- Drive new product launches and establish value-for-money propositions for critical products
- Create technical repositories and train internal sales teams on application-specific case studies
- Manage user pipelines and track metrics using the C4C CRM tool
- Gather competitor intelligence and channel product feedback into regional and global product roadmaps
- Organize user engagement events such as technical seminars, technology days, and product demonstrations
- Collaborate internally to address on-ground technical demands and resolve customer complaints across India
Requirements
- Possess 8 to 10 years of experience in technical and expertise roles
- Demonstrate industry knowledge in civil engineering, construction, or manufacturing
- Report directly to the Business Head of the KU Business and manage responsibilities on an all-India basis
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree
- Complete an MBA as an additional advantage
