GitLab is hiring a remote Solutions Architect for New Business within the EMEA region to act as a trusted advisor to prospective clients. The intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps helps organizations boost developer productivity, enhance operational efficiency, minimize compliance and security risks, and speed up digital transformation. Serving over fifty million registered users, GitLab is trusted by more than half of the Fortune 100.
In this full-time remote position, the individual will guide prospective clients through digital transformation initiatives by demonstrating how GitLab's AI-driven platform satisfies business goals and technical criteria. Working alongside regional account executives and reporting to a regional solutions architect manager, the professional will spearhead technical validations, proofs of value, workshops, and architecture design. Key duties include managing technical evaluation processes, cultivating long-term customer relationships, advising on cloud and software development practices, and channeling client feedback back to product management and engineering teams.
This role suits professionals with background in technical pre-sales, consulting, or customer-facing technical guidance who understand modern continuous integration, deployment, and cloud technologies. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, empathy, and a readiness to adopt AI tools into daily workflows.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery sessions, demonstrations, and validation processes including proofs of value to illustrate platform capabilities.
- Manage technical evaluations as the primary responsible individual, covering solution architecture, proof of concept ownership, and workshop design.
- Partner with regional sales teams and account executives in EMEA to build and execute customer acquisition and expansion plans.
- Cultivate deep connections with technical operators and business leaders to guide their digital transformation journeys.
- Advise clients regarding continuous integration, deployment, cloud infrastructure, and security methodologies.
- Act as the voice of the customer to engineering, product, marketing, and sales departments by sharing use cases and competitive insights.
- Keep technical skills current in GitLab, artificial intelligence, DevSecOps, and cloud systems while producing reusable collateral.
Requirements
- Experience engaging with clients in technical consulting, pre-sales, or comparable capacities guiding solution design and evaluations.
- Familiarity with the complete software development lifecycle, continuous integration, continuous deployment, and modern DevSecOps methods.
- Practical background using GitLab or alternative source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms.
- Working knowledge of cloud computing architectures, security, operations, and deployment options.
- Ability to direct technical evaluations, proof of concepts, proof of values, audits, and value stream assessments.
- Clear technical presentation abilities capable of addressing both practitioners and senior decision makers.
- Willingness to incorporate artificial intelligence into daily operational workflows.
