Job Description
ElevenLabs is an AI research and product business that builds voice, chat, audio, music, image, and video platforms for millions of users and global enterprises. The company is currently hiring a Developer Experience Engineer to establish an industry-leading developer experience. This position is ideal for an engineer who likes working on open-source software and navigating multiple programming languages across the technology stack.
In this role, you will design, construct, and support open-source projects to encourage developer adoption. Responsibilities include working on client and server-side software development kits as well as Model Context Protocol servers, shaping the developer journey for current and future products. You will also help shape and refine the ElevenLabs application programming interface, create developer tools, and function as the primary user for unreleased developer offerings.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain open-source projects such as server and client-side SDKs and MCP servers
- Drive developer adoption and engage with the developer community
- Shape and improve the ElevenLabs API and build developer tooling
- Act as customer zero for new developer products
- Write in-depth technical content and blog posts
- Triage technical issues
Requirements
- Experience building and maintaining open-source projects, ideally with created or maintained SDKs
- Strong full-stack engineering skillset with a flair for API design
- Passion for writing engaging technical content including in-depth blog posts
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to triage technical issues
