Freshworks is seeking a Director of GTM Systems Architecture to guide the design and evolution of its global commercial operating model. This hybrid role operates out of the company headquarters in San Mateo, California, requiring an on-site presence from Tuesday through Thursday each week. The person in this position will sit at the intersection of process design, data, technology, and business strategy to build a scalable commercial engine. Responsibilities include defining long-term technology roadmaps, integrating platforms like Salesforce, and preparing the commercial organization for AI-enabled workflows. This position suits an experienced systems-minded leader capable of influencing cross-functional stakeholders—including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Product, IT, and Engineering—without direct authority over implementation teams. The role requires deep expertise in enterprise architectures, data integrations, and revenue operations within high-growth software companies. Freshworks provides a comprehensive compensation package that includes a base salary between $196,350 and $242,550 per year, alongside a target bonus opportunity, equity, and employee stock purchase options. Responsibilities
- Translate business strategy into scalable technology architecture, processes, and business capabilities
- Design future-state operating models that streamline commercial workflows and enhance employee and customer experiences
- Own the long-term architectural vision and roadmap for the GTM technology ecosystem
- Develop scalable approaches for data management, platform interoperability, automation, and integrations
- Establish architecture governance practices, design standards, and principles across the GTM technology landscape
- Partner with CRM Operations to align platform configurations and ongoing governance with architectural vision
- Collaborate with IT to maintain enterprise standards, security, integrations, and implementation priorities
Requirements
- Over ten years of experience in enterprise architecture, Revenue Operations, Business Systems, Sales Operations, or related functions within a high-growth SaaS business
- Extensive expertise with Salesforce and the wider GTM technology ecosystem
- Demonstrated history of designing scalable operating models connecting people, processes, data, and technology
- Comprehensive understanding of modern GTM business processes across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Partner organizations
- Experience designing APIs, automation strategies, enterprise integrations, and data architectures
- Proven capability to translate business goals into architectural decisions and technology roadmaps
Qualifications
- Salesforce System Architect, Technical Architect, or Application Architect certification
- Familiarity with enterprise technologies and modern GTM platforms such as LeanData, Marketo, Gong, Clari, Segment, Workato, or similar tools
- Background enabling AI-driven business capabilities through data architecture, workflow automation, or platform design
- Experience directing enterprise-scale transformation initiatives across commercial organizations
