Job Description
Canva is seeking an Education Marketing Specialist for a six-month role centred on Jakarta, Indonesia. The listing marks it as remote and describes a 40-hour week. The specialist plans and runs education campaigns aimed at teachers and students across Indonesia, with the goal of deepening meaningful classroom use of Canva.
The work is hands-on from brief to report. It includes writing campaign briefs grounded in insight, aligning assets across internal teams and agencies, and running activity through email, social, influencer campaigns, paid media and in-app messaging. Global messages are reworked into education narratives that read as local to Indonesian classrooms. Results are measured beyond vanity figures, tying activity to activation, student participation and education monthly actives, and each cycle informs the next.
The specialist liaises with the Education Sales group, Community staff, Product Marketing colleagues and the wider marketing function. The position belongs to Indonesia's education vertical, which engages the Ministry of Education, regional stakeholders and community figures across both K-12 and tertiary education. Desired experience includes a deep understanding of Indonesia's education sector, especially K-12, and of how teachers and learners use digital tools in actual classrooms and through school timetables. Organisation, clear writing and a growth mindset are also important.
Responsibilities
- Own campaigns from kickoff through to performance reporting
- Draft insight-based briefs that convert strategic goals into execution steps
- Coordinate assets among internal groups and agency partners so timelines hold
- Run campaigns that combine email, social, influencer work, paid media and in-app messages
- Recast global messaging into culturally relevant stories for Indonesia
- Track activation, engagement and education usage, then suggest improvements
- Keep messaging aligned with the Education Sales group, Community staff and Product Marketing colleagues
Requirements
- Deep grasp of Indonesia's education market, particularly K-12
- Record of running end-to-end campaigns for teachers, students or both
- Knowledge of classroom technology habits, school calendars and assessment cycles
- Skill at adapting global ideas for Indonesian audiences
- Persuasive writing and presentation skills
- Evidence-based, impact-minded approach
- Organised and disciplined, with a growth outlook
- Comfort with ambiguity and ownership of results
