Job Description

This opportunity is ideal for a technical leader who combines deep architectural expertise in large-scale distributed systems with strong operational discipline. The position requires guiding a team to maintain high availability, automate operational toil, and drive self-service production ownership. Responsibilities

Partner with the product manager to balance delivery speed and quality
Maintain high availability of Dedicated infrastructure while prioritizing security and automated scalability
Establish clear operational direction, provide feedback, and automate manual toil
Refine owned artifacts to enable feature implementers to achieve self-service production ownership
Handle recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development for team members
Act as a technical role model by building proof of concepts and demonstrating process simplification
Lead incident management resolution, escalation, and best-practice sharing across the organization
Prioritize initiatives and manage technical debt using data-driven impact quantification

Requirements

Demonstrated history of building and owning large-scale distributed services with strong architectural depth
Direct experience utilizing fleet management products such as Terraform, AWS, and automated provisioning across 20 or more clusters
Background in driving operational excellence and managing services with strict availability SLO targets
Practical experience incorporating AI tooling to elevate team productivity
Experience building and managing accountable, high-performing team cultures

Qualifications

Ability to leverage AI to demonstrate concepts and translate technical complexity for stakeholders
Experience driving complex projects to completion without relying on a dedicated technical program manager
Background leading distributed and remote teams
