GitLab seeks a Senior Solutions Architect to join the Southern EMEA team as a trusted advisor for clients and prospects across the MEA region. In this position, you will guide entities through their digital transformation initiatives spanning planning through monitoring. Partnering alongside Account Executives and regional sales teams, you will manage technical evaluations including proofs of concept, proofs of value, workshops, and audits. This function requires you to act as the voice of the customer back to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing while driving platform adoption and influencing revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery sessions, demonstrations, and validations to display how the platform fulfills enterprise requirements across the software development lifecycle.
- Manage the technical evaluation process as the directly responsible individual, overseeing solution designs, proofs of value, workshops, and technical tender components.
- Partner with Account Executives and regional sales teams to design and execute account strategies that foster new customer acquisitions and expansions.
- Establish and strengthen relationships with business leaders and technical practitioners to support their GitLab-driven transformations.
- Advise buyers on cloud operations, security, continuous integration, and continuous deployment practices to maximize return on investment.
- Relay user feedback, use cases, and competitive insights to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams.
- Develop and maintain expertise in AI, GitLab, and cloud technologies by producing reusable best practice guides and technical collateral.
Requirements
- Experience engaging with clients in technical pre-sales, consulting, or comparable roles involving solution design and evaluation.
- Familiarity with the end-to-end software development lifecycle, CI/CD workflows, and modern DevSecOps methods.
- Hands-on background working with GitLab or similar collaboration, source control, and deployment platforms.
- Practical understanding of cloud computing concepts and related infrastructure options.
- Ability to run technical evaluations like proofs of concept, audits, and value stream assessments.
- Clear technical presentation skills tailored for both technical practitioners and senior decision makers.
- Fluency in Arabic.
