Moniepoint seeks a Field Credit Officer for an on-site, outsourced position in Abia. Ranked as Africa's fastest-growing fintech by the Financial Times in 2024, Moniepoint serves over ten million individual and business accounts and processes billions of Naira every month. The company aims to bring financial happiness to Africans everywhere.
In this role, the employee will bring in new businesses, handle credit product onboarding, evaluate credit applications, and track loan performance. Key duties involve reviewing the 5Cs of credit, visiting business locations physically, and advising management on loan disbursements. Success in this position requires meeting profitability goals, growing the loan portfolio, and ensuring high repayment rates.

Responsibilities
- Find and register viable businesses within the assigned territory to establish Moniepoint business accounts
- Interact with clients to drive account activity and help them qualify for credit access
- Evaluate available data to approve or deny loan applications
- Conduct in-person visits to potential borrowers to inspect inventory, turnover, and business records
- Fulfill gross loan portfolio and profitability goals while keeping default rates low
- Track active loans to guarantee ongoing account usage and timely repayments
- Complete additional credit tasks assigned by a supervisor
Requirements
- Hold at least an OND in a business-related field
- Bring a minimum of two years of sales experience involving credit products within a financial institution
- Show proven knowledge of credit risk analysis
- Live in Abia, specifically in Ohafia, Osisioma, Abia North, or Abia Central
- Demonstrate attention to detail, analytical abilities, communication skills, presentation skills, interpersonal skills, agility, and perseverance
