Job Description
Deliveroo is recruiting a full-time Head of Partner Marketing for Merchant and Ads, with a focus on grocery and retail. The job is hybrid, with three days a week at the London headquarters. It sits inside Central Integrated Marketing, where the Merchant and Ads group sets the worldwide approach to working with merchants so they can expand on the marketplace.
The head is responsible for the New Verticals merchant and advertising marketing strategy from start to finish and reports to the Integrated Marketing Director for Merchant and Ads. Duties include writing and rolling out playbooks that define co-marketing, promotions and advertising for grocery and retail merchants, and setting the sell-in strategy and collateral that local teams take to merchants. The role covers ads and monetisation strategy across owned and third-party surfaces, including pricing and investment calls made with Commercial and Finance. It also backs local teams on major enterprise merchant relationships, serves as the senior escalation route for issues that span several markets, and reports results to senior leaders. Leading change that improves how the category operates is part of the remit.
The posting asks for seven or more years in marketing, ideally covering merchant marketing, retail media, advertising or category work in consumer or marketplace businesses. Candidates should have owned marketing strategy for a team or category, managed people (including other managers as the group grows), and shown strong commercial judgement. Confident presentation to large audiences and to directors, and a proven ability to build cross-functional partnerships, are needed. Clear written and spoken communication, including turning complex inputs into a usable plan, is essential.
