Job Description

SEEK is recruiting an Instructional Designer for its APAC Enablement team, in the Strategy, Planning and Content group. The role is full-time and on-site, and the posting does not specify a city. The designer's line sits with the Instructional Design Team Leader for APAC, and the role creates learning materials that help frontline sales staff improve their performance across several APAC markets.

The designer creates product knowledge and learning content that suits different cultures and regions. Learning journeys combine several formats and are built to aid memory, change behaviour and fit regional needs. The designer pulls specialist know-how out of product staff and sales managers and turns it into clear material, while keeping content accurate and following established design systems.

The job also covers evaluation. The designer creates ways to check whether learners understood the material and can apply it in real sales conversations. Content is adapted for each region, and the designer uses the available learning platforms to improve engagement and accessibility.

Applicants need one to three years in instructional design or a closely related area, ideally with some sales enablement or product-training background. Grasp of how adults learn is required, and so is experience using an LMS to publish and track content. The designer must manage several streams of work and be able to plan and present training programmes. Knowledge of assessment methods and APAC cultural differences is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Write culturally suitable learning and product-knowledge material for frontline staff across APAC markets
  • Build learning journeys in several formats that help people remember and change how they work
  • Design ways to evaluate learning outcomes and their use in real sales scenarios
  • Pull specialist know-how out of product staff and sales managers, then make it easy to follow
  • Keep content accurate, clear and consistent with established design systems
  • Use the available learning platforms to lift engagement and accessibility
  • Adapt material to each region's context without losing the learning goals

Requirements

  • One to three years working in instructional design or a neighbouring area
  • Some exposure to sales enablement or product-training work
  • Grasp of how adults learn and of instructional design methods across formats
  • Hands-on time running a learning management system, including putting content live and tracking it
  • Skill with learning design tools and close attention to detail
  • Skill in pulling specialist knowledge out of experts and making it easy to follow
  • Ability to plan, run and present training programmes while juggling several workstreams

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ways to test learning and measure how well it works is desirable
  • Awareness of how regions across APAC differ culturally is desirable
