Job Description
SEEK is hiring a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer in its Operational Excellence group. The posting does not specify a city, and the role is full-time and on-site. The engineer designs and ships AI-driven utilities and systems that teams can take up, grow and refine over time, aiming at better decisions and output across SEEK.
The engineer works day to day inside one or more SEEK teams, learning what those teams need and improving how their work gets done. Ownership covers spotting valuable opportunities, then implementing, driving uptake and proving commercial results. The role reports to the Operational Excellence head and carries no people management, though it is a senior role.
The engineer works with AI, architecture, data, product and engineering colleagues to build intelligence platforms, copilots woven into daily practice, and agents that coordinate and streamline core processes. Solutions must fit SEEK's technology patterns, and learnings are shared across the organisation. Teams grow their skills via lessons, coaching sessions, playbooks, templates and peer groups, and the engineer watches uptake, output quality and efficiency to improve the tools.
Candidates should have built AI-powered products, process flows, agents or decision aids, and understand LLM methods, retrieval setups, agent design, evaluation and guardrails. Turning unclear business issues into practical systems is essential. Experience in forward deployed, solutions or product engineering, consulting, transformation or start-up settings is valuable.
Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for solutions in embedded teams, from spotting opportunities to realised benefits
- Build intelligence platforms, copilots and agents that automate core processes, alone or with partners
- Work with AI, architecture, data, product and engineering colleagues to fit solutions to SEEK's technology patterns
- Build capability and adoption through training, coaching, playbooks and templates
- Track uptake, output quality, efficiency and commercial effect, then refine tools to match
- Share learnings across the organisation
Requirements
- Track record of building AI-powered tooling, process flows, agents or decision aids
- Familiarity with LLM methods, retrieval setups, agent design, evaluation and guardrails
- Skill in turning unclear business issues into workable systems that scale and are easy to maintain
- Sound commercial sense for linking company goals to systems, workflows and decision aids
- Record of rolling out new tools or ways of working via stakeholder work, training and coaching
Qualifications
- Background in embedded or solutions-facing engineering, product roles, advisory work, change programmes or start-ups adds value
- Track record of creating in-house AI tools, knowledge bases or intelligence platforms adds value
