Job Description

Turing is hiring a remote, full-time Investigations Analyst for its security investigations function, which concentrates on fraud and insider threats. The posting lists a salary of 75,000 USD. The post is hands-on and needs sharp analysis, sound ethics and discretion with sensitive matters. The analyst takes a case from the first warning sign through to resolution, collecting and examining evidence, reconstructing what happened, and recording findings in clear, neutral language.

Daily work involves triaging alerts and reports of suspected wrongdoing, fraud or insider activity, and escalating when required. The analyst reviews logs, transactions and behaviour signals to uncover irregularities and assemble case narratives, while handling evidence carefully and keeping an auditable custody record. Sensitive cases are worked together with Detection and Response, Legal and HR, following established procedure. The analyst also adds to investigation playbooks and points out patterns that can shape new detections and preventive measures.

The posting asks for at least two years of work in fraud, security, intelligence or case-based analysis, or a comparable analytical role. Candidates need to connect information from varied sources into defensible conclusions, write objective case files, query log or transaction data, and keep several cases moving at once. Discretion and integrity with confidential material are essential. Extras include hands-on work with insider-threat, fraud-detection, e-discovery or forensic tooling, awareness of SIEM, DLP or UEBA data, credentials such as CFE, prior work in policing, intelligence or forensic settings, and scripting in SQL or Python on big data sets. The employer expects the analyst to be running cases independently within the first few months.

Responsibilities

  • Look into fraud and insider-threat cases using data from several sources
  • Triage alerts and reports, escalating where needed
  • Analyse logs, transactions and behavioural signals to surface anomalies
  • Document each case thoroughly, with careful evidence handling and custody
  • Coordinate with Detection and Response, Legal and HR on delicate matters
  • Contribute to playbooks and pattern-based detections

Requirements

  • Ability to combine different data sources into well-supported conclusions
  • Sound judgement, discretion and ethics with sensitive matters
  • Clear, objective written case documentation
  • Comfort querying logs and transaction data
  • Organisation to manage several cases at once

Qualifications

  • Hands-on time with tools for insider-threat work, fraud detection, e-discovery or forensics
  • Know how SIEM, DLP or UEBA data are used
  • CFE or a similar credential, or prior work in policing, intelligence or forensic settings
  • Scripting in SQL or Python on big data sets
