Job Description
Turing is hiring a Product Manager, Finance to direct strategy, roadmap and delivery for platforms that serve back-office operations, especially accounting work tied to fund controllers and to global business finance. The listing places the role in New York. It is framed as product leadership that creates business value through well-built operational systems, with building AI solutions explicitly not the main focus.
The product manager owns the vision, roadmap and priorities for operations and controls platforms. Work begins with discovery into the business issues, workflow steps and stakeholder requirements, then moves into backlog management, user stories, feature ranking, and coordinating delivery with engineering, architecture and business units. Milestones, dependencies and risks are tracked and communicated. Priority modernisation areas include automating fund control accounting work and improving operational reporting.
Every solution must satisfy governance, audit and control requirements. The role calls for solid fund accounting knowledge, including net asset value integrity, resolving cash and position breaks, and controller sign-off processes, all turned into specifications and acceptance criteria. Familiarity with general-purpose AI assistants is useful, and the product manager should recognise where automation can help operational work.
Half a decade or more of product ownership, product management or senior business analyst work inside financial services is required, with real exposure to back-office functions, fund controllers and finance operations. Hands-on use of at least one fund accounting or administration platform, exception-management experience, and past work building or upgrading corporate back-office systems are expected. Strong stakeholder management, roadmap planning and an ability to work with engineers on modern delivery practices are needed. Preferred experience includes Paxus, Advent, Eagle or SS&C Geneva, dealings with fund administrators, Agile delivery, and workflow automation or cloud exposure. Pay is $175,000 to $215,000 in total cash.
