Job Description
Swiggy seeks a Key Account Manager for a full-time, on-site post. The listing does not name the city, though the job centres on an assigned one. The role covers premium restaurant partners: multi-branch chains, established restaurants running several outlets, and independent operators scaling up.
These relationships are intricate. Deals usually involve several decision-makers, larger contract values, bespoke solutions, and deeper discussion of returns and strategy. The manager engages franchise operators, regional heads and operations leaders, shifts conversations from product features to growth planning, and spots expansion options within existing accounts.
Each month the job includes on-site visits to priority accounts, analysis of cuisine performance against benchmarks, and building quarterly reviews filled with charts and trend lines. Much of the work happens in spreadsheets: pivot analysis, lookups and dashboards that senior executives can read. The manager also coaches Sales Managers and carries a share of the city goal. The listing notes the pace is intense, since restaurants never really close.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a book of 30 to 40 premium accounts (60 to 80 in Indianext cities), each running 2 to 10 outlets, which together supply 40 to 60 percent of city revenue
- Develop trusted ties with franchise operators, regional heads and operations executives
- Advise on growth tactics such as shorter delivery windows, repeat ordering and uniform performance across branches
- Make monthly on-site trips to key accounts to learn how they operate, collect input and clear adoption obstacles
- Produce quarterly business reviews with cuisine-level analysis and strategy recommendations
- Identify expansion possibilities, such as new sites, product lines or cuisine types, within current accounts
- Create executive-ready workbooks and ROI models for pitches and reviews
- Coach Sales Managers and help meet city targets
Requirements
- Zero to two years in B2B, field sales or business development work
- Proven success meeting targets while running your own pipeline
- Confident with spreadsheets, including pivot tables, lookup formulas and dashboards, without needing help
- Able to engage several decision-makers at once
- Accepting that restaurant operations are nonstop and the role follows that rhythm
Qualifications
- Experience in FMCG, food and beverage or hospitality sectors
- Postgraduate study, ideally in marketing or sales
