InMobi is hiring a Legal Counsel in Bengaluru on a full-time, on-site basis. The role handles the legal and commercial work that supports the company's business, from drafting and negotiating agreements to advising internal teams on compliance and disputes. It is a hands-on position that combines transaction work with process improvement.
The counsel drafts and reviews a wide range of legal and commercial agreements through to signature, working with external lawyers, advisers and consultants on complex commercial transactions and liaising with internal teams. The role also gives practical guidance on statutory compliance and manages disputes, which can include drafting or responding to legal notices.
A significant part of the job is building the systems that keep contracts consistent. The counsel helps develop, onboard and run processes so that agreements with employees, partners, sourcing vendors and contractors meet legal requirements and company policy. The counsel leads changes to contract processes and creates templates for agreement types such as office leases, sourcing and consulting agreements, publisher, advertiser and agency agreements, data partnerships, marketing agreements and vendor agreements. Guidance also reaches security, statutory compliance, finance, privacy and regulatory questions.

- Support security, privacy, finance and regulatory teams with legal and compliance work
Requirements
- Law degree from India, with about 4 to 7 years of professional experience
- Clear communication and independent handling of matters
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and professional conduct
- History of producing sound legal output quickly inside a company
- Willingness to collaborate across functions and challenge the status quo
Qualifications
- Blend of corporate legal and private practice background
- Legal support experience with engineering, IT or internet businesses, especially ad tech
- Familiarity with SaaS contracts and with commercial and employment law in APAC
