Core work involves reading and summarizing academic papers, industry reports and policy material quickly, and keeping colleagues up to date on tech policy developments in India and globally. The manager authors policy papers, position statements and research reports, drafts consultation responses, and prepares academic publications aimed at leading journals. Briefing notes and talking points are prepared ahead of meetings with officials in government, political circles and policy bodies.
Other duties include reviewing marketing and public relations content for policy alignment and local sensitivities, planning research partnerships with relevant institutions, and building a repository of thought leadership material for use across media channels.
A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline is expected, alongside a solid grounding in social research and at least 8 years of research and writing across varied subjects. Candidates should be exceptional writers with an interest in the internet, communication theory and technology products. Preferred qualifications include a published academic record, familiarity with SEO keywords for thought leadership content, experience with measurement and reporting, and knowledge of referencing and indexing conventions. Requirements

- Strong grounding in social research design and methods
