Grafana Labs is seeking a Manager of Solutions Architecture to lead a technical group focused on observability solutions and customer success. The company provides a managed observability platform utilized by organizations worldwide. In this position, you will guide technical professionals, partner with key clients to implement technology stacks, and promote observability best practices. You will coordinate with internal departments such as Sales, Support, Customer Success, and Product to build reliable monitoring solutions, draft Statements of Work, and oversee customer project resourcing.
This is a fully remote position located in the CST time zone. The job requires balancing operational duties with hands-on technical contributions, managing customer escalations, and working alongside professional services leadership to refine operational workflows and drive business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Solutions Architects to optimize resource utilization and drive positive customer outcomes
- Oversee the design and implementation of technology stacks using Grafana products
- Develop educational programs to improve customer capability with the Grafana technology stack
- Advise on sales strategies aimed at boosting adoption rates, renewals, and revenue
- Build long-term customer relationships to foster brand advocacy and referenceable accounts
- Balance operational team management with direct technical contributions
- Draft Statements of Work and handle customer project resourcing and escalations
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a Solutions Architecture team in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of design, implementation, or consulting experience involving distributed applications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with infrastructure architecture, database architecture, applications, networking, or similar technologies
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in technology or software pre-sales or technical consulting
- Location in CST
- Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies
- Presentation abilities with experience communicating with customers and executives
- Experience building and maintaining observability solutions
- At least 2 years of professional experience with Kubernetes and Linux
- Knowledge of shell scripting and APIs
- High emotional intelligence for managing client escalations and cross-functional negotiations
