Grafana Labs is hiring a full-time Senior FullStack Engineer to join the Grafana Catalog team on a remote basis. The employer is the creator of Grafana Cloud, a managed observability platform utilized by thousands of organizations worldwide. Operating as a fully remote enterprise with personnel distributed across more than forty countries, the company emphasizes trust, autonomy, open-source heritage, and transparent communication.
In this position, you will focus on expanding the Grafana plugin ecosystem, which currently encompasses over 300 items from the community, commercial partners, and Grafana Labs itself. Your scope of work spans the entire plugin lifecycle—covering discovery, installation, delivery, review processes, developer tooling, and the emerging Grafana Marketplace pilot designed for independent developers and partners to sell plugins. You will build new marketplace features utilizing Go services, the Grafana frontend, and grafana.com, while collaborating closely with the broader organization and communicating directly with plugin developers.
The role suits an action-oriented, customer-focused engineer who enjoys building intuitive products and possesses strong communication skills. Grafana Labs supports developer productivity by providing access to frontier AI models and company-funded budgets for modern AI coding assistants within security guidelines. Candidates are considered from Canada and the United States within the Central or Eastern time zones.
Responsibilities
- Develop new Marketplace functionalities spanning Go services, the Grafana frontend, and grafana.com
- Enhance discovery, search, and installation mechanisms for users and automated agents
- Streamline developer workflows to facilitate faster creation, testing, and publishing of plugins
- Automate and refine the review procedures required for all catalog publications
- Maintain operational reliability and stability for plugin delivery and installations across Grafana Cloud
- Engage directly with partners and plugin developers to translate their feedback into roadmap initiatives
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience working with Golang and TypeScript
- Practical background in React and constructing user-facing web applications
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and microservices architectures
- Experience authoring clean, robust, and performant code maintainable by others
- Participation in on-call rotations alongside operations and SRE duties
Qualifications
- Prior experience building or publishing a Grafana plugin
- Background working on package registries, app stores, marketplaces, billing, or licensing systems
- Experience creating developer tools like SDKs, CLIs, or CI pipelines for other engineers
- Extensive collaboration experience alongside Product Managers or external stakeholders
