Job Description
PointClickCare's marketing group wants a data analytics engineer who can construct and operate the data layer beneath campaign dashboards and pipeline reports. The position is backend-heavy and touches Salesforce, Marketo and the company's data warehouse. Assistants such as Claude increasingly support how campaign records are collected, joined and displayed.
This person works alongside demand generation, marketing operations and the analytics team. The objective is to convert routine reporting requests into automated, reliable data pipelines that feed leadership reports on pipeline influenced by marketing across the Senior Care line and the Acute and Payer line. The job is remote, but onboarding, group events and recurring company meetings call for visits to the Mississauga or Salt Lake City location.
Hands-on work includes building flows between Salesforce, Marketo and a warehouse such as BigQuery; automating standard campaign reports; writing performant SQL that produces reusable tables and views; tuning attribution logic based on campaign codes, UTM values and the path from lead to opportunity; watching data integrity; and maintaining Salesforce and Marketo setup. Recording data definitions so marketers can answer their own questions is expected as well.
Responsibilities
- Build and upkeep pipelines linking Salesforce, Marketo and the warehouse
- Automate standard campaign reporting and write efficient SQL for reusable datasets
- Improve attribution rules built on campaign codes, UTM details and lead-to-opportunity connections
- Monitor and repair data quality issues across Marketo, Salesforce and reporting tables
- Apply AI assistants to accelerate exploration, documentation and query building, without sacrificing production accuracy
- Maintain the Salesforce and Marketo configuration, including fields, objects, sync behavior and campaign structures
- Document models and metric definitions for self-service use
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree finished or in its final year, in a software, computing or data-engineering discipline, or a similar technical study; recent graduates are welcome
- Up to two years of relevant experience
- Solid SQL: joins, grouped aggregations and window functions over sizable relational data
- Working fluency in a data-oriented language such as Python
- Understanding of relational schemas and how CRM and marketing automation objects relate
- Analytical, detail-minded, and keen on automating repetitive work
Qualifications
- Practical Salesforce work (SOQL, reporting, campaign objects) or Marketo work (programs, smart campaigns, field synchronization)
- Cloud warehouse background (BigQuery, Snowflake or Redshift) and a BI tool such as Power BI, Looker or Tableau
- Working with AI-assisted coding or analytics products
- ETL, ELT or workflow tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran) or API scripting
- Knowledge of pipeline measures such as MQLs, opportunities and pipeline value, or of B2B lead generation
- Background from a co-op, a traineeship or a side project in data or revenue work
