Job Description
Elastic, known as the Search AI Company, delivers search, security, and observability solutions that utilize structured and unstructured data to help organizations unlock insights. The company is currently hiring a Marketing Strategy & Planning Specialist to join its Global Growth and Experiences Marketing team, reporting directly to the Head of Strategy & Planning. This early-career position operates as a central connecting point for the department, balancing financial tracking with team culture initiatives.
The person in this role will oversee global growth and experiential marketing budgets, collaborate with finance teams, and manage special projects from inception to completion. The role requires handling confidential information with strict discretion while preparing presentations, emails, and business reviews.
This is a remote position based in Canada, with a preference for candidates in the Mountain or Pacific time zones. It suits organized individuals with a background in project coordination, marketing operations, or finance operations who possess strong numerical skills and a genuine enthusiasm for building interpersonal connections.
Responsibilities
- Monitor global growth and experiential marketing spending, track actuals against plans, and flag financial variances early
- Collaborate with finance and regional marketing teams on forecasting, accruals, and quarterly budget reviews

- Draft concise communications, updates, and presentations for various audiences from regional teams to senior executives
- Handle sensitive and confidential business, financial, and strategic planning information securely
Requirements
- Experience working in project coordination, program management, marketing operations, finance operations, event planning, or internal communications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to verify numbers, dates, and action items accurately

- Good judgment regarding when to solve issues independently versus escalating with context and recommendations
- Discretion when managing confidential headcount, budget, and strategic details
- Numerical proficiency with comfort using spreadsheets such as Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences
- Residency in Canada
Qualifications
- Experience planning team events, all-hands meetings, or internal programs
