Job Description
Apollo.io's core product is a large directory of checked business contacts, paired with prospecting tools. The partner network already includes thousands of firms, from agencies to consultancies to solution vendors. A small group of partners generates most partner-driven revenue, so the way those relationships are managed matters a great deal to the business.
This full-time, remote Partner Account Manager role covers a named set of the most valuable partners, around 20 to 30 firms, after they have demonstrated lasting activity and strategic weight. The manager builds a joint business plan with each partner, sets shared targets for segments, pipeline, and managed-customer growth, and folds certification and enablement into that plan. The role keeps account files, health status, and scorecards current, flags risk early, and runs regular one-on-ones along with quarterly business reviews. Top-tier partners also receive a deeper yearly strategy review, with its recommendation prepared ahead of time.
Outcomes include managed ARR, customer retention, and net revenue retention, pursued in step with the Sales, Customer Success and RevOps teams. The manager watches adoption and usage data, recommends promotion, remediation, or downgrade on consistent criteria, and works with Partner Marketing on co-marketing, customer stories, and events. Candidates should have at least five years in partner or channel roles, customer success, or strategic accounts, ideally at a SaaS company, along with a commanding presence in executive settings.
Responsibilities
- Keep each named partner's account file current, including segment, tier, health, IPP score, and the next milestone
- Raise warning signs on at-risk accounts early, and keep the authoritative record of who is in the book and why
- Agree shared targets with each partner on segments, pipeline, and growth in managed customers
- Fold certification and enablement into every joint plan, and set co-marketing and executive-alignment priorities for each period
- Spot expansion chances within partner-managed accounts together with Sales, CS, and RevOps teams
- Watch adoption and usage data closely enough to spot churn or delivery problems before they appear in retention figures
- Present metrics rather than impressions when reviewing internally what performs across the managed book
- Run regular one-on-ones and formal quarterly business reviews with every named partner
- For top-tier partners, run a deeper yearly strategy review and prepare its recommendation ahead of time
- At all times, not only during reviews, keep watch on certification progress, customer quality, and routing eligibility
- Make promotion, remediation, or downgrade calls using steady criteria, and own the internal case whenever a partner's standing is challenged
Requirements
- At least five years managing partners or channels, in customer success, or in strategic accounts, ideally at a SaaS company
- Track record of managing outside relationships toward shared growth targets using joint business plans, QBRs, or similar tools
- Ready to answer for revenue-adjacent results, including managed ARR and retention, working in tandem with Sales, CS, and RevOps
- Commanding presence that allows the person to lead a quarterly review and speak for Apollo with partner executives
- Methodical and metrics-minded, with a history of keeping account plans, scorecards, and health checks current across a defined set of accounts
Qualifications
- Familiar with HubSpot and Salesforce partner networks, particularly agency programs
- Has overseen a partner portfolio organized into tiers, each with its own meeting rhythm and service model
- Knows partner-management software such as PartnerStack or Crossbeam
- Has partnered with a marketing team on joint campaigns, customer stories, or shared events
- Worked in a go-to-market, sales engagement, or revenue operations setting
