Job Description
Moniepoint Inc. operates an all-in-one financial ecosystem in Africa, delivering payments, banking, credit, and business management tools to 10 million individuals and businesses since 2019. As the primary merchant acquirer in Nigeria, the company handles the majority of the nation's Point of Sale transactions and processes $22 billion every month while maintaining profitability.
Moniepoint is seeking a Senior Manager to direct the Google acquisition function and scale customer growth for both personal and business banking products. This professional will manage the entire Google performance channel, covering campaign architecture, technical infrastructure, economic modeling, and channel governance. The ideal candidate thinks in systems, works from first principles, and makes credible decisions spanning strategy, technology, and economics simultaneously within an emerging market context.
Responsibilities
- Design and direct the complete Google channel strategy across App Campaigns, Performance Max, and Search for business and personal banking acquisition.
- Build and maintain campaign structures optimized for a dual-product funnel by separating signals, audiences, and bidding logic appropriately.
- Establish bidding strategies, budget allocation frameworks, and creative testing cycles.
- Manage campaign performance end-to-end from brief to launch, optimization, and reporting.
- Architect and oversee the entire measurement stack, including Firebase or GA4 event taxonomy, Google Tag Manager configurations, and server-side event pipelines.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Conversion APIs and enhanced conversions.
- Define and evaluate attribution models against funnel realities while partnering with engineering and data teams to ensure timely and accurate event data.
- Own the economic model for Google acquisition by defining CAC targets and monitoring LTV/CAC relationships and payback periods.
- Build a channel reporting system that surfaces realistic data and establishes review cadences for senior stakeholders.
- Adapt acquisition strategies for emerging market realities such as variable device penetration, low-bandwidth environments, and trust barriers.
Requirements
- Bring 6 or more years of hands-on paid acquisition experience with a primary focus on Google UAC and App Campaigns at scale.
- Demonstrate deep technical knowledge of Google campaign infrastructure, including bidding algorithms, audience signals, and Smart Bidding mechanics.
- Show proven ability to architect and manage a complete measurement stack comprising Firebase, GA4, GTM, and Conversion APIs.
- Exhibit fluency in LTV/CAC modeling, assumptions ownership, and budgeting decisions.
- Possess experience operating within a fintech or financial services context, understanding compliance and trust dynamics.
- Have management experience handling annual budgets larger than 10 million USD.
Qualifications
- Experience running Google acquisition in Sub-Saharan Africa or comparable emerging markets, with Nigeria specifically being an advantage.
- Familiarity with server-side conversion APIs, offline conversion imports, and enhanced conversions for cookieless or app-first environments.
- Experience collaborating with data science or analytics teams to build custom bidding signals and offline LTV imports.
- Prior work handling dual-product or dual-segment acquisition with separate funnel logic.
