In this role, you will guide and mentor a group of four to eight product designers distributed across multiple product domains within the expanding Tide application. Acting as both a player and a coach, you will balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on UI and UX execution, utilizing Figma to deliver strategic and high-impact features. You will collaborate closely with product management and engineering leads to set objectives, establish roadmaps, and define domain experiences, while also partnering with fellow design managers to ensure a cohesive user journey across the entire platform.

Responsibilities
- Coach, develop, and set actionable career goals for a team of four to eight product designers
- Manage team resourcing, balance workloads, and drive hiring to scale the design function
- Perform hands-on design work in Figma for critical strategic initiatives
- Partner with product managers and engineers to define objectives, prioritize roadmaps, and craft domain strategies
- Collaborate with other design managers to align design patterns and maintain a connected user journey across the app
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience managing or leading product designers in a fast-paced SaaS, fintech, or scale-up environment
