Job Description
Monzo is hiring several Product Marketing Leads who will shape market research and product direction for specific product collectives. The role is listed in London, with the option of remote work within the UK, and pays a base salary of £100,000 to £133,000 plus benefits. It is a player-coach position: the holder does the hardest strategic work personally while growing colleagues via candid input, coaching and demanding benchmarks.
Here, product marketing is a discipline centred on product-market fit rather than go-to-market execution. Product marketers sit in squads with product managers, designers and user researchers, and represent the market's view, which covers the UK, Ireland, Spain and markets not yet launched. Integrated Marketing then leads marketing strategy and delivery. The lead would take responsibility for a twelve-month product marketing plan covering a complex collective with several products, decide what the company needs to learn about customers, competitors and markets, and use that learning to influence what gets built and in what order. The role also covers setting positioning that can move revenue, and deciding when and how products launch.
The posting describes three possible home areas. Wealth covers savings, investments, pensions and insurance. MonzOS is an AI-powered layer which steers people towards the best product, insight or next step at the right moment. The EU area is building Monzo for new European markets while supporting Ireland and Spain, and this role would lead consumer insight and competitor research for new countries.
Applicants should be comfortable owning strategy across several products and categories, making high-stakes positioning calls, and balancing revenue goals, customer experience and rival pressure. The posting also asks for consensus-building with senior stakeholders and a commitment to raising the standard of product marketing, including through AI-enabled workflows. The interview process has a 45-minute initial call, a one-hour case study presentation and two 45-minute final interviews via Google Meet, usually taking three to four weeks.
