Job Description
Motive is recruiting a full-time, on-site Regional Vice President for Strategic East Sales in the United States. The leader heads the company's quickly expanding Strategic segment, which pursues the largest potential customers across North America. The RVP directs a group of Strategic Account Executives and helps them win and close those large opportunities. The company presents itself as a rapidly growing software enterprise that pairs connected hardware with AI applications for organizations that run physical operations. Most staff members work remotely, while others may work on-site.
The team sells into Fortune 500 firms in many fields, such as trucking, energy extraction, construction, farming, production and passenger transportation. The RVP sets account and territory strategy so the group can meet or beat monthly, quarterly and annual ACV goals, leads pipeline meetings, and monitors each AE against core metrics. Additional duties include joining priority prospect talks, working with the Sales Enablement group on training and coaching, and ensuring the CRM and sales tools support accurate forecasting. Close coordination with legal, sales operations, customer success, marketing and product teams, plus sales engineering and sales development colleagues, is part of the job.
Candidates need one to three years of hands-on leadership of SaaS sales groups operating at the strategic level, and a record of surpassing goals with large customers. Good customer communication, empathy and honesty are required, along with a people-centered approach and a real interest in developing salespeople at every level. Working experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms is necessary. Applicants living in Eastern Time are strongly favored.
