Job Description
Ebury is recruiting a Sales Lead for its Defence sector, based at its London Victoria office. The job is onsite and full-time. Ebury describes itself as a global fintech offering FX risk management, supplier payment financing and API solutions, and this role leads the sale of treasury and hedging products to large businesses in defence and aerospace.
The Sales Lead will bring on board Tier-1 prospects in defence and aerospace, and will sell currency hedging strategies, treasury cash services and supplier-paid financing built for long-running contracts. Because the sector works on long procurement cycles, large capital spending and complex global supply chains, the role involves building senior contacts among CFOs, treasurers and finance heads and understanding their budgets and appetite for risk. The lead will also serve as the in-house specialist on defence, passing sector needs back to product teams and keep a disciplined pipeline in Salesforce. The posting expects the person to set an example on the sales floor and mentor newer colleagues.
The ideal candidate understands defence business language, such as fixed-price bids, extended procurement timelines and sovereign risk. Strong negotiating skills, the ability to explain complex financial ideas to varied audiences and a collaborative attitude are important. Fluent English is required; speaking a further language is an advantage.
