Job Description
This full-time Sales Manager I opening at Swiggy is an on-site role focused on restaurants. Each holder is given a territory and is expected to keep every restaurant in it healthy, from the first pitch through to continuing support. The posting does not name a city. A typical month involves 80 to 90 face-to-face sessions, where the manager runs product demonstrations and shows return-on-investment figures to make the case for the partnership.
Diagnosis comes before pitching. The manager asks about a restaurant's sales channels, delivery operations, marketing spend and goals, and presents Swiggy's offerings as answers to those needs rather than as a list of features. Negotiation, activation and monthly support also sit with the manager. Revenue targets for the territory are the manager's responsibility, along with tracking a personal pipeline and conversion rates.
Analytical work is a regular part of the week. Adoption data is reviewed to find restaurants that are not growing, issues are troubleshot and corrective steps are taken. Local competition and restaurant trends are monitored, and what the field learns is shared with product teams. Because daily records live in city and central trackers, advanced Excel, Google Sheets or WSP skills are essential.
Candidates should have up to two years in business-to-business selling, field work or business development, ideally in FMCG, food and beverage or hotels, and should have a history of hitting goals. Restaurants operate around the clock, so the holder must care about partner growth at any hour. Building pivot tables, using VLOOKUP and creating dashboards without help is expected. A post-graduate background in marketing or sales is preferred.
