Job Description
Swiggy is recruiting a Sales Manager for an on-site field role focused on consultative selling to restaurant partners. The person acts as a consultant to each partner in an assigned geographic area, identifies how that restaurant can grow, and presents Swiggy's products as practical answers. This is a full-time role, and the posting does not specify a city.
Trust is built in person. The manager visits restaurants, delivers product walkthroughs and reviews return on investment, and explains why working with Swiggy benefits both parties. Across each month, the manager handles pitching, negotiation, activation and continuing support for every partner. The posting expects between 80 and 90 face-to-face meetings with restaurant partners in a month.
Performance is judged on data. The manager reviews adoption metrics, works out why some restaurants stall, and adjusts the approach. Revenue goals for the territory, along with pipeline and conversion statistics, are owned by the manager. Keeping up with local restaurant trends and the competitive landscape helps shape the field feedback that flows back to product teams.
Applicants should have no more than two years in business-to-business selling, field work or business development, ideally FMCG, food and beverage or hotels. A solid record of hitting targets and running one's own pipeline is needed. Excel skills must be advanced, and routine work includes pivot tables, lookups and dashboards. Post-graduate study in marketing or sales is a preference.
