Job Description

The organization seeks a Technical Architect specializing in AI and Agentforce to design and deploy agentic experiences and data architectures for clients. This remote, full-time position suits experienced software developers who possess strong Salesforce architecture skills and want to lead technical workstreams involving cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies.

In this capacity, the professional will manage complete technical solution designs, collaborating directly with customers, developers, project managers, and designers. The job involves defining data structures, establishing grounding strategies with unstructured data, overseeing testing procedures, and providing technical guidance to development teams. The individual will also help create reusable assets to accelerate project delivery and maintain all relevant Salesforce certifications.

Candidates should expect travel up to twenty-five percent of the time for customer projects and company events. The interview process consists of a recruiter phone screen, a peer video interview, a panel video interview featuring a live solution exercise, and a leadership video interview.

Responsibilities

Lead and own complete technical solution designs encompassing agent topics, instructions, actions, automation, deployment methods, and data structures
Collaborate with customers and internal team members including project managers, solution architects, developers, and designers to translate business requirements into functional solutions
Oversee and contribute to every phase of the project lifecycle from initial design to development, testing, and production deployment
Design scalable and secure data architectures on Salesforce Data 360, defining data model objects, data lake objects, identity resolution strategies, and real-time activation patterns
Establish data ingestion best practices for Salesforce and Data 360 at scale
Design grounding strategies utilizing unstructured data model objects, retrievers, and search indexes
Define integration patterns between Salesforce and third-party systems via REST APIs
Provide technical leadership, conduct design and code reviews, and mentor developers on Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Agentforce development
Define testing and evaluation approaches for agents incorporating guardrails and the Einstein Trust Layer
Contribute to reusable delivery assets and maintain required Salesforce certifications
Travel up to 25 percent of the time for client engagements and company events while maintaining a valid passport

Requirements

Minimum of 6 years of experience in application and software development
Minimum of 4 years of experience working with Salesforce in a development or technical architecture role
Proficiency in Apex and JavaScript with exposure to modern coding languages such as Python, Java, or C#
Experience building Salesforce technologies including Flows, Lightning Web Components, or Visualforce
Experience designing and building Agentforce agents, workflows, and automations
Experience designing solutions on Salesforce Data 360
Experience designing integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems using REST APIs
Understanding of front-end web development principles including HTML and CSS
Experience with source control, branching, pull request strategies, CI/CD solutions, and DevOps principles
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical details to both developers and customer executives

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Experience working with agentic AI systems and generative AI capabilities
Experience with Data 360 capabilities such as unstructured data model objects, retrievers, search indexes, RAG, and identity resolution
Experience with Agentforce Agent Script next-gen authoring
Relevant certifications including Salesforce Platform Developer II, Salesforce Agentforce Specialist, Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Application Architect, Salesforce System Architect, or Claude Certified Architect
Prior consulting or professional services delivery experience including leading technical workstreams
Experience across additional Salesforce clouds including Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, or Experience Cloud
Understanding of Salesforce Enhanced Chat and Omni-channel
Experience with Amazon Connect or other telephony platforms
Experience designing solutions on AWS or GCP including AWS Lambda functions
Proficiency in using Claude Code or similar AI coding agents
