Bosch seeks a SAP S4HANA Data Migration – Manager for a full-time position located in Bengaluru. This professional will coordinate the entire migration initiative from the preparation phase through go-live and stabilization. The role involves working alongside project managers and business teams in North America and Europe, directing migration strategies, outlining cutover plans, and serving as the primary technical point of contact for data migration. The candidate will guide the technical team based in India, create technical migration objects, collaborate with IT experts and functional consultants, and handle progress tracking and status reporting for project management.
This position is suited for an experienced migration professional with a background in managing cross-functional teams and handling client relationships. Bosch expects the individual to provide hands-on technical solutions, oversee technical deliverables, and drive the migration team across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete migration project from preparation to go-live and stabilization
- Coordinate with project managers and business teams based in Europe and North America
- Lead the migration concept, cutover planning, and understand data objects and dependencies
- Provide technical solutions and guidance to the technical team in India
- Develop technical migration objects
- Gather migration requirements in close engagement with functional consultants, IT experts, and process experts
- Support and collaborate with the Central Migration Manager
- Facilitate work between the technical migration team and cross-functional teams during development and technical unit testing
- Plan and track migration planning and cutover activities for each phase
- Perform planning, tracking, and periodic status reporting to project management
- Take complete ownership of technical deliverables as the primary point of contact for technical data migration
Requirements
- Over 15 years of experience in SAP Data Migration
- Minimum of two projects in S4HANA rollouts acting as a Migration Manager
- Background in migration management including planning, tracking, reporting, consulting, and cutover planning
- Experience with SAP BODS on at least three projects
- Solid SAP process knowledge for data migration and requirement gathering
- Deep understanding of business objects requirements, dependencies, migration cockpit, and BODS or Syniti
- Proficiency in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, and Technical Solution Design
- Previous experience in customer-facing roles for client management
- Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills for working with cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering
- Knowledge of additional migration tools
