This position suits a finance professional with a background in subscription-based financial operations, revenue recognition, compliance, and financial reporting. The chosen candidate will handle daily accounting tasks, maintain general ledger accounts, support audits, and ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations.
The role involves managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations while coordinating month-end and year-end closing procedures. Responsibilities also extend to tracking subscription billing cycles, analyzing recurring revenue metrics, and improving financial workflows within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS or GAAP
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Maintain compliance with local tax regulations, including income tax and VAT
- Oversee subscription billing cycles, deferred revenue, and recurring revenue reporting
- Monitor customer contracts, invoicing, and revenue recognition according to SaaS standards
- Reconcile deferred revenue schedules and calculate Annual Recurring Revenue and Monthly Recurring Revenue
- Support budgeting and financial planning for SaaS revenue streams
- Identify and execute process improvements for financial operations
- Provide documentation and insights during internal and external audits
- Maintain internal controls to protect company assets and financial integrity
Requirements
- Four or more years of accounting experience
- One to two years of experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business
- Strong understanding of GAAP or IFRS
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA accounting software
- Experience with Salesforce subscription billing systems
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Working knowledge of transfer pricing principles and intercompany arrangements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification
- Experience working with SaaS KPIs such as CAC, LTV, churn rate, and expansion revenue
- Familiarity with tax regulations for SaaS businesses
- Knowledge of accounting automation tools and process optimization
- Experience in a multinational or similar environment
