Job Description
This full-time senior analytics engineer post is listed in Hyderabad. The role sits in the analytics engineering group under one of the Analytics Engineering Managers. Its purpose is to build reliable, tested and documented data models that data scientists and business users can depend on, served through Snowflake and or Looker.
The engineer collaborates with product engineering groups so that source data is shaped appropriately for downstream use. Day-to-day work includes maintaining SQL transformation code, advising and reviewing data scientists' models that yield denormalised and aggregated tables, and publishing intuitive views in Looker. The engineer also helps grow Looker into a data product that roughly 1,500 active users rely on to find and explore information.
Excellent SQL and a firm grasp of warehouse design and modelling principles are essential, as is experience with cloud MPP warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift. Two or more years of BI development on Looker or a comparable tool is helpful, along with version control habits, ETL or ELT work using DAG-managed dependencies, Python for automation and integration, and familiarity with the Looker API.
