Job Description
Moniepoint Group is a financial technology enterprise focused on digitizing the real economy across Africa by supplying businesses with payment, banking, credit, and management tools. The company is currently hiring a Senior Content Designer to take charge of content strategy and execution within a specific product squad.
This position is suited for an experienced professional who can guide end-to-end content design from discovery through delivery, ensuring interface text, microcopy, and error messaging remain clear and accessible. The role involves working closely with product managers, engineers, and designers while also mentoring junior team members.
Daily responsibilities include building prototypes in Figma, running qualitative and quantitative research, and justifying strategic design decisions to senior stakeholders. Candidates must be comfortable operating in a fast-changing atmosphere where internal processes are still developing.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end content design strategy and execution from discovery to launch and ongoing iteration
- Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to embed content strategy into product discovery and delivery
- Develop accessible and inclusive content that establishes trust and user engagement
- Build wireframes and prototypes using Figma following design systems and content principles
- Produce high-quality interface text, microcopy, error messages, help content, and documentation
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research methods including user interviews, usability tests, and A/B experiments
- Contribute to the evolution of content design style guides alongside brand and marketing teams
- Mentor junior content designers and guide them through stakeholder management
- Lead alignment across teams and present strategic rationale to senior stakeholders
Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of professional experience working as a content designer
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder management abilities
- Operate effectively in a fast-changing environment with evolving processes
- Possess exceptional knowledge of content design principles and end-to-end product thinking
- Know how to conduct A/B testing, interpret UX metrics, and drive research initiatives
- Show strong product intuition concerning user needs, business constraints, and technical feasibility
- Use Figma independently to collaborate, prototype, and deliver agile solutions
- Communicate clearly and explain the rationale behind design decisions
Qualifications
- Experience building workflows or tools using artificial intelligence
- Background working in fintech or SaaS environments
