The organization is currently seeking a Senior Data Analyst focused on Fraud to join the team on a full-time, on-site basis.
In this position, the professional will examine fraudulent activities, measure their consequences, and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with engineering and fraud operations teams. The role suits an analytical specialist who enjoys working autonomously within a flat organizational structure and wants to influence risk management practices for a customer base numbering in the millions.
Team members will construct dashboards, track operational metrics, and uncover emerging risk patterns prior to escalation. The hiring process begins with an initial recruiter telephone screening, followed by a technical take-home SQL assignment, a technical interview with the hiring manager, and a final behavioral discussion featuring leadership figures from the data and fraud departments.
Responsibilities
- Investigate malicious fraud attempts, evaluate their impact, and present actionable findings
- Design and update rule-based interventions alongside engineering and operations units
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to follow fraud trends and operational indicators
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, engineers, and fraud teams to translate analytical insights into action
- Detect unusual patterns early and signal potential risks before escalation
Requirements
- Four or more years of experience operating as a Data Analyst specializing in fraud or a comparable discipline
- Advanced command of SQL for writing complex queries across large datasets
- Direct background in financial services, risk, or fraud mitigation trade-offs
- Familiarity with Python or scripting languages for data manipulation
- Practical knowledge of business intelligence platforms such as PowerBI, Looker, Tableau, Superset, or Redash
- Experience utilizing spreadsheet applications like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong stakeholder management abilities to communicate findings clearly across various departments
- Proactive approach to spotting irregularities and investigating independently
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Prior background involving data governance
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
