- Configure cloud networking including virtual private clouds, firewalls, load balancers, routing, Domain Name System, and web application firewalls
- Partner with security and engineering personnel regarding identity management, secrets handling, and infrastructure-security controls
- Utilize AI-assisted tools for log analysis, debugging, and system optimization
- Participate in a shared global on-call rotation to address production incidents
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional background in cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering
- Hands-on operational ownership of GCP production environments
- Independent proficiency with Terraform, CI/CD platforms like GitHub Actions or Jenkins, and production Kubernetes
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture, distributed systems, VPCs, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud security
- Strong scripting or programming capabilities in Python, Go, or Shell
- Experience handling complex operational incidents and conducting root-cause analysis
- Availability to maintain regular working-hour overlap with U.S. Pacific Time and participate in a global on-call rotation
Qualifications
- Independent operational experience in AWS or Azure alongside GCP
- Background with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Familiarity with securing containers across Docker, Kubernetes, or GKE
