Job Description

Airalo is hiring a Senior Director of Brand to define and own the company's worldwide brand direction and to lead the group that delivers it in every market and product line, whether consumer, business or partner-led. This is a senior leadership role that blends strategy with building the team, the structure and the talent pipeline needed for growth.

The director reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and sits on the marketing leadership team, advising on how major decisions will affect the brand alongside product, growth and partnerships leaders. Work includes planning launches and go-to-market activity for each active region, tracking brand health, market share and new-user growth against forecasts, and keeping tone-of-voice standards current. The director steers agencies and internal teams as they produce toolkits for copy, digital, social, commerce and in-person activation, and oversees content marketing aimed at traffic, engagement and retention. The role is remote within the UK, at an organisation with more than 400 staff across over 60 countries.

Candidates should have a long history of building brand or marketing functions in fast-paced, product-led businesses, including leading teams across time zones in a crowded market, and should be at ease presenting to executives.

Responsibilities

  • Build the global brand strategy and roadmap from insight into customers, market shifts, rivals and category data.
  • Set brand direction and go-to-market plans for every active region.
  • Counsel the CMO and cross-functional leads on what major choices mean for the brand.
  • Develop a group of brand managers, creative leads and brand systems people spread across regions.
  • Prepare managers for their own leadership progression and develop a pool of future leaders.
  • Decide how the team is organised and resourced as the function expands.
  • Monitor brand health, market penetration and user acquisition against competitors and forecasts.
  • Hold ownership of voice standards, brand guidelines and governance in all channels and markets.
  • Report brand performance to senior leaders and turn findings into action plans.
  • Guide agencies and internal groups building toolkits, and support local teams in delivery.
  • Set the content marketing agenda for traffic, engagement, leads, retention and awareness.
  • Champion ambitious campaign ideas at key customer touchpoints.

Requirements

  • Ten or more years in brand or marketing in fast-moving B2C, B2B or B2B2C businesses.
  • At least seven years leading and expanding brand or marketing teams.
  • Proven success building brand operations across regions in a crowded market.
  • Strong working relationships with CMO and C-suite leaders, shaping strategy that spans brand, growth, product and operations.
  • Polished communication and executive presence, including presenting to groups and speaking in public.
  • Sound judgement, end-to-end thinking and analytical depth.
  • Clear ownership and entrepreneurial energy, comfortable with ambiguity and complexity.
