Job Description

Motive is hiring a Senior GTM AI Engineer for its Deal Desk team. This engineer builds and runs AI-driven workflows, automations and agents that make sales and go-to-market teams more productive. The role is on-site in the United States, and the posted pay range is $140,000 to $160,000 USD.

The engineer scans Deal Desk processes for work that AI can take on, then turns those needs into dependable internal tools. Ownership runs end to end: prototypes and proofs of concept, production hardening, beta testing with end users, maintenance and continuing improvement. Safeguards are built in from the start, including human review points, audit trails and fallback rules that keep agents consistent with revenue recognition policy and pricing approval thresholds. The engineer works with Deal Desk, product, sales engineering and business stakeholders, writes documentation for each launched solution, and trains the people who use it.

The engineer also keeps production use cases within budget by comparing language models on quality against token spend. Solutions may span enterprise agent platforms, Salesforce-native agents, n8n workflows and front ends built in Retool, React or comparable tools, with secure access to enterprise data and APIs. Applicants need five to seven years of practical deal desk or revenue operations work, which includes creating tools, automations or AI-supported flows. The listing asks for CPQ and CLM platform experience, a practical grasp of AI basics such as context limits and token costs, scripting, SQL or SOQL, and Python fundamentals. Knowledge of orchestration layers, MCP and agent-to-agent protocols is valued.

Responsibilities

  • Look for Deal Desk bottlenecks that AI can ease, then propose and build solutions
  • Build human review steps, audit trails and fallback logic into Deal Desk agents
  • Take tools from prototype through production, including beta testing and upkeep
  • Create agents and workflows across enterprise agent platforms, Salesforce, n8n and front-end frameworks
  • Keep production costs in check and compare language models on performance and spend
  • Write documentation for launched solutions and train their users

Requirements

  • Five to seven years in deal desk or revenue operations, building tools and automations
  • Working use of CPQ and CLM systems
  • Grounding in AI basics such as context windows, token usage, compute cost, chunking and benchmarks
  • Understanding of API usage, rate limits and pulling data together from several source systems
  • Scripting, SQL or SOQL and Python fundamentals
  • Experience using foundation models through web chat tools and through APIs
  • Awareness of agent tooling, including orchestration layers, MCP and Agentforce

Qualifications

  • Experience building agents or React interfaces inside Salesforce
  • Prior roles in machine learning, Salesforce administration, business systems, data work or workflow automation are relevant
