Job Description
Twilio is recruiting a Senior Internal Auditor to take ownership of business process testing from start to finish, serving as a technical authority for the company's worldwide SOX compliance effort. Responsibilities span risk evaluation, control design, checks on whether controls operate effectively, deficiency analysis, and progress reporting. The auditor sets the scope, guides materiality work, plans risk-focused procedures, and performs walkthroughs of major SOX processes.
A key piece of the job is serving as the main point of contact for outside auditors, organizing reliance and cutting duplicate work so the yearly audit proceeds efficiently. The auditor records control weaknesses, measures their numeric and non-numeric effects, and collaborates with process owners on fixes. Every audit file must meet quality benchmarks. The role also contributes to operational and compliance audits and encourages greater use of AI and automation in audit work.
The position is remote, though the posting says people in California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, or Washington cannot be hired. Compensation figures differ by place: $96,640 to $120,800 for several states including Colorado, Illinois, and Maryland; $102,240 to $127,800 for the New York and New Jersey areas, Washington State, and California outside the Bay Area; and $113,600 to $142,000 in the Bay Area. Travel of about five percent is expected.
