Job Description
Fieldguide is seeking a Senior Manager, Product Strategy & Operations to serve as the inaugural hire in this function, bridging the gap between Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams. Fieldguide operates an agentic AI-native platform designed for audit and advisory professionals to address a structural capacity shortage within the CPA industry. Backed by investors such as Growth Equity by Goldman Sachs and Bessemer Venture Partners, the company serves a significant portion of top-100 U.S. CPA firms. In this remote, full-time position, the chosen candidate will act as an extension of product leadership, creating operational systems from scratch, driving cross-functional alignment, and evaluating the business impact and unit economics of AI agent capabilities.
This role is well-suited for an operator who thrives in ambiguous environments and enjoys building processes rather than maintaining them. Responsibilities involve synthesizing Voice of Customer data from multiple sources, shaping product launch calendars, tracking KPIs, and establishing rigorous product development rituals. Candidates must possess substantial experience in product operations, product management, corporate strategy, or consulting within high-growth technology or SaaS sectors.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain Voice of Customer feedback mechanisms gathering signals from engagement staff, implementation, and sales teams.
- Define and track product success metrics, KPIs, and impact dashboards.
- Conduct analytical work regarding competitive positioning, agent expansion opportunities, and unit economics including inference costs and cost-to-serve.
- Manage core product development processes, planning cycles, roadmap reviews, and monthly business reviews.
- Create and improve scaling operational frameworks such as launch schedules, intake procedures, and RACI matrices.
- Coordinate cross-functional execution across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
Requirements
- Bring 6 to 8 or more years of experience in Product Operations, Product Management, product strategy, corporate strategy, consulting, or a related operational function at a high-growth SaaS or technology firm.
- Demonstrate a history of building and scaling processes and initiatives entirely from scratch.
- Possess the ability to independently pull and analyze complex qualitative and quantitative metrics, such as usage data and retention signals, to formulate roadmap recommendations.
- Demonstrate the capacity to secure alignment across Product, GTM, and Engineering teams without relying on direct authority.
