Freshworks is hiring a Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting to lead technical revenue and close activities. This position reports directly to the Director of Revenue and centers on complex, high-impact projects designed to improve reporting and accounting functions. The role is suited for an analytical professional with a strong grasp of US GAAP who can drive automation initiatives, manage month-end cycle controls, and collaborate with cross-functional groups.
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly revenue cycle controls such as contract reviews and deal support
- Conduct detailed reviews of work completed by team members
- Ensure compliance with ASC 606 regulations and handle standalone selling price setups and updates
- Execute technical accounting research for revenue topics and draft or revise documentation
- Create and deploy systems and processes to automate revenue recognition
- Execute accounting reviews and analyses associated with financial closes
- Coach international teams on process, system, and workpaper enhancements
- Partner with legal, IT business applications, FP&A, and partner program operations teams
Requirements
- Demonstrated public accounting background, preferably with a Big 4 firm
- Past managerial experience outside of auditing
- Experience collaborating with remote teams
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 standards and application within SaaS or technology sectors
- Background implementing automation software tools such as Zuora Revenue or NetSuite ARM
- Practical experience using Salesforce and managing its integration with NetSuite
- Advanced analytical abilities to address complex technical evaluations and draft position papers
