Job Description
Cloudflare is hiring a Senior Practice Leader for its Developer Platform professional services practice, based in Sydney, Australia. The full-time role is responsible for building a global practice of practitioners who help customers reach business outcomes through the capabilities of the Cloudflare developer platform.
Cloudflare runs a global network that protects and accelerates internet applications and sites. The posting presents the company as one that values builders who solve problems with AI-enabled tools and who keep the internet moving forward.
The practice leader acts as the product manager for professional services on the developer platform. The work includes setting priorities and building offerings that match the company's strategic vision, reviewing information gathered by other practice leaders, and turning leadership direction into services. The role produces selling materials, scoping rules, project plans and delivery accelerators, and leads selling and delivery enablement. It also designs fixed-outcome offerings that deliver quick wins, along with add-on and packaged services for mid-market, enterprise, digital native and vertical customers.
Other duties include working with delivery leads, services sellers, consulting staff, customer engineering and go-to-market leaders. The practice leader launches internal and external marketing campaigns, such as blog posts, videos, webinars and presentations on field calls, and builds the team's knowledge of platform configuration, optimization and troubleshooting.
Candidates need at least eight years in professional services, practice design, leadership or a developer-focused customer-facing job. The posting also asks for hands-on experience with content delivery networks, DDoS protection, web application firewalls, load balancing and CI/CD pipelines. Fluent English is required. Travel is limited: in-person attendance is expected at PS leadership meetings in Lisbon or Austin (or both), which the posting lists as six monthly, plus some customer travel within Australia.
