DuckDuckGo is currently seeking a Senior Product Partnerships Manager to guide complex product alliances and build overarching strategies. Operating as an online protection company with a remote-first group of more than 400 people, the organization produces popular web browsers, search tools, subscription offerings, and privacy-focused artificial intelligence applications like Duck.ai. Founded in early 2008 and maintaining profitability since 2014, the firm serves millions of users globally. In this role, the candidate will source, negotiate, and expand high-impact partnerships designed to improve the entire product ecosystem from the ground up.
This position requires an individual who can independently handle commercial agreements, draft terms, construct financial models, and work alongside engineering, finance, and legal departments. The professional will oversee competing and complementary partner ecosystems, particularly in the rapidly evolving artificial intelligence sector, while establishing brand-new distribution avenues and enhancing features such as Search Assist and Duck.ai. Ideal candidates thrive in environments emphasizing total ownership of projects from initial conception through final execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex product partnerships end-to-end, from opportunity identification through deal closure
- Source, negotiate, and scale high-impact deals that enhance the entire product portfolio including search, subscriptions, and AI tools
- Build zero-to-one playbooks where product, economic, and strategic value are determined simultaneously
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and finance teams to execute agreements
- Manage a portfolio of competing and complementary partner relationships while navigating market shifts in the artificial intelligence sector
- Identify new distribution channels to expand AI-related services and user engagement
- Attend video conferencing meetings on camera and travel approximately twice per year for company gatherings
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic partnerships
- Extensive background in driving complex product partnerships from inception to completion
- Ability to independently handle commercial details, draft terms, build financial models, and test deal structures
- Familiarity with consumer internet or user-facing software businesses, including knowledge of the AI and LLM ecosystem
- Experience managing a portfolio of strategic partner relationships and balancing competing providers
- At least 2 years of cross-functional leadership on partnership projects involving legal and engineering teams
- Residency in the United States or Canada
- Successful completion of a background check
