Job Description
This remote, full-time position carries the CA designation in its title and reports to the Senior Manager of AI and Platform Architecture. The core task is to design and keep improving the Salesforce Product-to-Cash landscape, from quoting and contracting through ordering, fulfillment, billing, revenue, and customer success and support.
Coaching is a large share of the job. Coaching is central: the architect teaches engineers and solution designers, lifts architecture standards, and builds team capability in RCA, billing and quote-to-cash work. Working with other architects, the role tackles tough business and technical problems and produces high-level and low-level designs with conceptual diagrams that different audiences can follow.
Technically, the architect oversees the billing platform: invoices, billing cycles, payment processing, dunning and revenue timing. The role also keeps architecture and systems roadmaps current, sets platform standards and builds proofs of concept to check designs. Handoffs to the development team need to carry enough context to build from, and the architect joins projects to close requirement gaps with subject-matter experts and product owners.
The posting expects an AI-first mindset, with Agentforce and Claude-based solutions used where they help. Background needed: over a decade on Salesforce, three to five years in architecture, complex B2B SaaS delivery, and a university degree in a related discipline. No salary is stated.
